Dr. Mallory Quinn holds a doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida and has held a Board Certification in Behavior Analysis since 2011 when she was just 21 years old. Dr. Quinn worked as an instructor and developer at the University of South Florida for multiple ABA courses for the undergraduate and inaugural online graduate programs for 6 years.
During her time in the graduate program, she led and first-author published multiple research studies under advisement of her incredible mentors Drs. Raymond Miltenberger and Kwang- Sun Blair. These studies investigated the use of ABA techniques in behavioral coaching with dancers to increase training using ABA motivational strategies and specific feedback, and decrease common historical trainings using coercion.
As a former competitive dancer and musical theater performer herself, Dr. Quinn is passionate about training using the most effective modalities available to avoid sports related injuries, eating disorders, anxiety diagnosis, and other detrimental results of coercive training.
Dr. Quinn’s research has been published in multiple prestigious journals including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA), Behavior Analysis and Practice and Behavioral Interventions and she has presented as a speaker at multiple ABA conferences in Florida and across the country. She has more than 10 publications in scientific peer reviewed journals related to ABA and dance training.
Dr. Quinn has experience working in introductory levels of the field as a behavioral technician for 3 years prior to obtaining board certification. She has over a decade of field experience as an RBT, BCaBA, & BCBA (behavior analyst since 2011 and has worked in the field since she was just 18 years old). Her clinical work prior to switching to full time work in health, sports and fitness involved parent training work in foster care, and in home and school-based services for children and adults with developmental disabilities with a wide range of problem behaviors.
In Dr. Quinn’s daily professional life she enjoys teaching private lessons to highly motivated dancers, supervising her RBTS and staff, working with ABA students, conducting therapy for her clients with special needs and teen dancers with anxiety, and choreographing local musical productions as a semi-retired musical theater performer and dancer.
Dr. Quinn especially loves business coaching as she knows about overcoming adversity as a student and working professional.
Dr. Quinn struggled staying focused through graduate school as a student diagnosed with ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. She continues to use her creativity to produce successful outcomes. As a business owner, Dr. Quinn overcame adversity starting her businesses with little capitol, in an unpaved and uncharted area with little guidance. When her businesses were finally obtaining stability, they were severely hit with the COVID-19 pandemic and experienced significant losses. Despite this, Dr. Quinn continued to pivot services multiple times to remain afloat. She hopes to pass these skills and support to all of the students she supervises. She believes resiliency is one of the most important skills a business owner and student can possess in order to pave the way for their success.

She has recently undergone training and specialization in ACT coaching to work with her teen dancers with anxiety.
In 2016, while she was still a doctorate student, Dr. Quinn created ABA Sports Innovations (ABASI), a company which focuses on using and disseminating ABA techniques within health, sports, and fitness. Alex's fitness journey began in 2013, but her relationship with food, weight loss and body image started in elementary. Alex grew up obese and dealt with societal pressures of looking a certain way all the way up until adulthood. As a new mother, she vowed to be strong, healthy, and fit for herself and her son. Looking at fitness and health through an ABA perspective really was a game changer. Alex understood her behaviors will only be maintained if they contacted natural reinforcement, and that her disordered eating could only be fixed if she pinpointed the problem behavior and found an adequate & appropriate replacement behavior. In 2020, Alex decided to start her own business, Objective Outcomes, as a behavior analyst and as a certified personal trainer, combining her two passions, fitness & behavior. Currently, she helps everyday people understand what their barriers are to their health and fitness goals and find solutions rooted in applied behavior analysis.
